Bounce game result: Rangers 4 : 1 Hamilton

Recommended Posts

Agreed we already know Boydy will score in games where we win by multiple goals against pish teams in largely meaningless games.

It's when we really need them he's a liability, falling on his arse, backing into defenders he can't jump with and getting caught offside umpteen times.

And before anybody says 'What about Hibs 1-0, and the cup finals last season?'

A Rangers number 9 needs to be getting us goals with repetitive regularity, not once in a Blue Moon.

I'll be astounded if we waste a strip on him come Sunday.

How many games has Boyd actually started aginst the so called 'big' teams? it infuriates me reading posts like this. Who do we think would score goals if Boyd wasn't in the team? Kenny Miller - don't think so. Lafferty - unproven. Novo - frustrates the hell out of me. One minute brilliant next minute looks like a donkey. As for repetitive regularity - how many goals has the guy scored. Don't give me all this pish about he only scores against the wee teams I get enough of that from other fans outwith Rangers never mind our OWN starting

Why anyone would consider Boyd playing in ANY GAME for us as being a 'waste of a strip' is moronic imo. We don't have 20 million to buy a better striker & I can't think of a single player in Scotland that deserves to wear the No.9 Gers strip more than Kris Boyd does. My heart goes out to the lad in a way because he gets more stick than any other striker with a goal scoring record like his & for that plonker Murrey to have been willing to sell him for less than 4 million must have been quite a let down for him. Ok, we got him for a song, but that's not the point. Killie obviously didn't have much choice in the matter or we wouldn't have got him so cheaply. We paid 5/6 times more for Naismith & he might be more versatile, but would never ever score the same number of goals if put in Boyd's shoes, never mind 5/6 times more.

Too many, far too many.

It infuriates me having to shell out £600 a season to watch a guy who couldn't beat ME in a sprint, couldn't beat ME in a jump, but COULD trap a ball further than I could kick it.

90% of Rangers attacks are stopped as soon as the ball reaches this guy, he is in effect the oppositions best defender every week.

Both Lafferty AND Novo have already proven to me the are more clinical finisher than 'Give me the ball and I'll bury one out of eight chances' Boyd.

I'd take Stevie Thompson who scored in Europe, scored against the *******s and is scoring against Championship and Premiership teams at the moment before fat arse.

I'd put my mortgage on it that had he gone to Birmingham he'd have been back at Killie or Motherwell before a year had passed.

Had he any quality whatsoever, an EPL team with money to burn would have swooped for him in January but the strugglers would all have had a look and realised 'This guy's no use to us'

Seriously they would pish themselves at the efforts of the guy to play football and his own teams fans would be rioting to get him out the team, and out the door.

I highly doubt any of that & happen to think that you're talking rubbish mate.

You're not qualified to say I'm talking rubbish when I say it infuriates me to shell out £600 per season to watch this guy attempt to play the beautiful game.

I'll meet you before any game and show my S/T receipt.

Incidentally Admin, I can't enable smileys for some reason.

Before anyone says 'It's because you're daft', I will admit to being computer clueless.......................but not fitba clueless.

I deleted my post just before you posted. I won't argue this point with you or Gribz or anyone else. I'm done with pointless arguments over Kris Boyd or anyone else. Post whatever you want. It's a free country... cough.

Don't thank me. Thank & pat yourself on the back for being the purveyor of muchos bollockus talkus pishus.

Because it conflicts with your view?

Which in turn conflcts with the facts?

I'm not looking for pats on the back for being right, I'd rather mediocrity like Boyd stopped visiting upon the Rangers.

He's not good enough, unless we get relegated.

I don't think you will find anyone disagreeing with the fact that he is not a good footballer, but you have to give the guy credit for banging the goals away so consistently, that is not luck, you don't just take to the pitch do nothing and score goals as consistently as he does, that is a skill in it's own and I can think of other Rangers players that I would rather see leaving before Boyd. If Boyd annoys you so much then give up your season ticket
