Guest Jum Spence
George Burley is considering Rangers teenager John Fleck for the World Cup qualifier against the Netherlands. More...
bigholly 0
He is a great prospect but a bit to early for full honours IMO. He may get a call up but cant see him getting a start.
alanmidd 0
If you're good enough, you're old enough. Can't think of any other strong candidates down the left, so why not?
Gribz 846
Agree with Alan, he is on form and exactly the type of player Scotland needs. Id play him.
Norris Cole 0
Wonder how long it will take Burley and the Tartan Army to run him down. I'll go for two weeks.
Bluedell 5,614
3 competitive SPL games? He shouldn't be getting called up to the national squad based on that.
Super_Ally 0
If you're good enough, you're old enough. Other countries don't worry about it when they're calling up a Rooney or a Walcott. Though he's not even in the squad this time around?
Tannochsidebear 2,405
It is absolutely ridiculous to even mention Fleck in the full international team at this stage in his career. You have to be careful with talented youngsters, and I cant see what harm it will do to give him a few games at U-21 level to see how he adapts to the very different game of international football. Scotland have no chance of qualifying under Burley anyway so give the guy a break and let him develop naturally. 3 games in the SPL ffs, really.
Guest bigbear
Wish Burley would GTF and take the Tartan army t@igs with him. Someone should tell him that Derek Johnstone made his debut for the Gers in 1970 cup final versus the Septic Scum and scored at the tender age of 16 Even at that age he could have been capped as central defender or striker Scotland dont need a prick of a manager who insults Rangers players.
