johnnyk 158
Not again :fish: I agree with Ian what you see is what you get and we knew what type of player he was before we bought him, all he did and still does is score goals basically! He didn't cost very much and has improved his game slightly but is still scoring plenty of goals which is his job IMO. He is a team player by taking chances his team mates make for him, how is he not a team player scoring and winning us games? Just because he doesn't work hard enough like some others? As Ian pointed if he was the player some seem to want he would be playing in a better league for a team better than Birmingham IMO.........
Jon 0
I love Boyd threads Thought it was a good read and refreshing to know a player loves the club and wants to do so much for them. He has his critics but he will also gurantee goals.....
maineflyer 0
The mention of Boyd's name certainly gets the blood flowing around here. All I'll say is count the goals and go figure our points total without them. All the attitude and fitness in the world won't achieve what his goals will. Count the goals.
Jon 0
Agree 100% MF but some people will never agree or accept his is our best goal threat. How, I'm not quite sure but there you go....

Im counting the league titles mate!! And i dont single out Boyd, its to do with the other average players, the likes Adam and Burke (thankfully who moved on).
Super_Ally 0
If he loves us that much he should be looking to improve his overall attitude and fitness. Last Saturday his performance was abysmal and he must surely realise while his goals are vital he should be doing more for the team. Don't think questioning his attitude is fair at the moment. He's had more good games than bad in recent months. If any other player had a good Nov/Dec/Jan then had a poor game, we wouldn't question their attitude, we'd just say they had a bad game and if they have too many close together their place in the team would be in question. Miller has been rank for a couple of months and in some games has noticeably done less work than Boyd, yet no one questions his attitude.

Perhaps if he'd been used more often and we'd fielded a team that played to the strengths of our best striker, we might have scored more and won more. Boyd is no world beater but he is a damned fine goal scorer and we have far too few real assets at the moment to belittle the few we have.
craig 5,199
Every single player should be looking to improve - ALWAYS. It is how he true world greats become great. Boyd should be no exception to that rule. However, we have plenty of other players at Ibrox who don't seem to be improving nor do they seem like they are trying to. Doesn't matter whether you like Boyd or not, he is the only natural goalscorer we have. Those that want him out of the team - who will score the goals to win us the league ??
Gribz 846
Doesn't matter whether you like Boyd or not, he is the only natural goalscorer we have. Those that want him out of the team - who will score the goals to win us the league ?? Invalid point IMO. Boyd wasnt part of any of the previous 51 titles. Having Boyd doesnt guarentee titles. Granted they contribute to points in the table but the have never contributed to a title yet. The Dundee Utd game last week was an prime example. He went off and we scored 2 goals and had a good one chopped off. Had Boyd stayed on the park he would have taken the pen and likely scored and everyone would be saying Boyd rescued us and is the hero.
