maineflyer 0
The Shearer silence/applause stuff was a disgrace and sullied the great memories I'm sure many bears had of Jardine as a player. Sorry Frankie, it sullied the memory of a far better man than Sandy Jardine, who isn't fit to lace the boots of a true Rangers man like Bobby Shearer. Jardine disgraced the entire Rangers family and his continued presence at the club continues to shame us.
Bluedell 5,614
Care to elaborate? Get a feeling it's something I won't like - Bobby Shearer was the sort of man who would not be made welcome at Murray's Rangers. Jardine claimed that the Shearer family requested a minute's applause. The Shearer family later denied this.
Norris Cole 0
Jardine claimed that the Shearer family requested a minute's applause. The Shearer family later denied this. We really are taken for mugs aren't we. It would surprise me greatly if a man of tradition such as Shearer would have opted for a minute's applause. As I said earlier, he was the sort of man 21st century Rangers would do everything to disassociate themselves with so it's no wonder he was treated with such disdain in death.
