Norwich ready to take Gow on loan

Gow's proposed transfer to Wolves fell through last month

Rangers forward Alan Gow is set for a loan move to Norwich City for the rest of the season.

The 25-year-old spent the first half of the campaign on loan at Blackpool and saw a transfer to Wolves collapse last month due to a failed medical.

Gow rejected overtures from Norwich and Burnley in the summer, having failed to make an impact at Ibrox.

He joined Rangers from Falkirk in July 2007 but has only made two appearances for Walter Smith's side.

Rangers had hoped to recoup £250,000 for a player they got under freedom of contract. However, Wolves would not take a risk on Gow after a medical revealed a "bio-mechanical" problem.

He enjoyed a fruitful spell with Blackpool, scoring five goals in 17 appearances.

And now Gow is in line to team up with Celtic striker Chris Killen, who agreed a temporary move to Carrow Road at the weekend.
