calscot 0 Posted July 28, 2006 Share Posted July 28, 2006 The ones that aren't so obvious like 'We Are Rangers' could benefit from word changes BUT songs like The Sash, Derrys Walls, Build My Gallows are NOT sectarian. That doesn't mean that we should be singing these long-term, but in relation to the UEFA directive, they are untouchable. I Cammy F I agree that they are untouchable and I'm someone who hopes some of them die out when the religious associations become more tenuous. The one that I think is the best of that lot is Derry's walls. I'm not interested in the Northern Irish history aspect, but I do like the sentiment of "no surrender" especially in a football match.
