Favourite Rangers Fanzine

Recommended Posts

the same admin who posted my whereabouts in my hometown who also published all emails with me on his site and who threatened legal action against me if I did the same - the same admin who publicly in his forum asked all fans in his forum to pop round and rearrange 'Andy' again noting where I frequent in my hometown not to mention bringing my missus into it also - as well as asking members of his forum to 'bombard this cockroach' and many of whom that have came from that site were posting vile, sectarian and downright abusive comments - and all of these were deleted and those with threatening behaviour spouting I know where you live or I'm going to get yer missus and give her one and everything else - the details have been logged noted and if anything happens will be handed to the coppers. Oh and btw that forum your talking is Vanguard Bears why leave that out??

I have produced article showing Rangers in a good light or remembering certain talking points - UNICEF donation, AC Milan match, Murrays 20 years at the helm, posted rangers campaigns on my site without editing any of the text or leaving my comment on it, remembering the Ibrox Disaster, not to mention the match reports of Rangers games. True there are some articles that are critical of Rangers or certain elements of the fan base - but I have never and will never label Rangers fans as a whole in a bad light in fact I praised that majority of Gers fans in Manchester and everywhere else they have gone - but I have reported on the minority of have caused trouble and slammed their actions.

While I can say at times I am less than neutral I do try to be in the majority of my articles and have Rangers fans contributing to the site as authors of articles and not just comment posters. I have always asked for fans of any club to post articles on the site and have never rejected a fans contribution because of his or her's club allegiances. And never will do that.

Sometimes it would be better if you were just honest in the first place, instead of massaging the truth to embellish your own credentials. Soon we'll have to call you Andy Mitty. If necessary, I can copy posts from you, showing quite clearly that you were the one threatening "coppers and my lawyer". The truth is that no one has threatened you on behalf of any websites and your accusations have been refuted at every turn. You claim that someone follows you everywhere - is this paranoia or wishful thinking. I doubt if you're that important to anyone.

Listen, the article reproduced above showed exactly the sort of thing you publish on your site and then promote in your comments section. Are you disputing that it is a faithful copy? What you need to accept is that if you join the anti-Rangers bandwagon, not everyone is going to sit idly by and watch you do it. If Rangers fans visit your website to object, they are only doing so because of the position you have chosen to adopt. Everyone has had ample opportunity to visit your website and I don't see anyone leaping to defend you as the reasonable, fair-minded bloke you would like to think you are. Passing the blame by suggesting that someone else is writing the articles is pathetic.

So why are you here? Why are you continuing to post on here? What is your objective, other than to promote your site and indulge your fascination with the enemy? Your comment above is accurate in one aspect, you are definitely less than neutral where Rangers are concerned. What you need to take on board however is that there will be no more free rides for people like you.

SZ:

I think you'll find many Gersnet members are more than happy to accept criticism of the their club and the challenges we face. Indeed, we're often amongst the first to offer it.

However, the problem arises when this criticism is merely subjective, imbalanced and generally just daft.

That's how you unnecessarily polemic article of the other day could be described IMO so you shouldn't be surprised when many people take umbrage at it.

I do admit that when I criticise Rangers it is unbalanced and very harsh - but I cannot write an article about Rangers from the viewpoint of a Rangers fan - that is why I have Gers fans and still trying to get more Gers fans to contribute to get articles written in their opinions and not mine or anyone else that has no allegiances with the club.

I am not surprised that many fans have launched attacks at me for having an anti-rangers agenda but its not as if I am going out of the way to do it. I welcome constructive criticism as well as a good debate/argument also.

But I have never gone out of my way in here to cause hassle or stir it up - nor did I purposely create my site just to be the mouthpiece of an anti-rangers agenda.

Keep going mate, you're gradually approaching the truth. You've a way to go yet before you admit your true agenda but I think people can see what you're really about. Just don't dream that admitting a little will somehow absolve you from a lot. Like I said, no more free rides.

Now, to quote something I heard recently, why don't you go home?

I'd suggest then that if you can't write about Rangers in a balanced, reasonably constructive fashion, you get someone else to. Otherwise your site will never be taken seriously.

Not everyone who writes about Rangers needs to be a Rangers fan. But it helps if any criticism they offer is reasonable, accurate and worthy of debate. Your article of the other day had none of those virtues.

As such, when you claim site neutrality it has to be taken with a pinch of salt if the site editor cannot even bring himself to be reasonably objective.

first of all ask bluedell or frankie if I have ever came in here to promote my site? or if I ever did without permission? Second of all I have the screen captures of the threads in question from the VB admin Willhelm Anderson making the statements and I said that I would be contacting the cops if anything happens as in someone turns up in front of me that got the details from the site and 'rearranged' me. Why dont you reproduce the threads in VB entitled 'Bombard this cockroach' as well as the Scotzine one - then everyone in here shall see the extent of what I have been dealing with from these fans.

And I still have the emails from the VB Admin stating that he would take legal action if I reproduced any of his emails on my site or anywhere else. He was the first to do so and I only countered him when I noticed threads going up threatening my person and my missus.

And the article that bluedell was talking about was written - what last year? and it was written by someone else and not by me. The article that you copied and pasted was written by myself and it has the authors name above it as well - I am not disputing that.

And I would gladly copy the screenshots from the VB in here to show that your claims that no one has threatened me is further from the truth.

Frankie I have been asking fans to contribute - those that criticise I have tackled also to produce articles that they would see as more favourable and yet they dont reply to my proposal. And my plan all along with the site was to try and get a fan from every Scottish club to produce articles to make it balanced and that is stillthe goal.
