You Just Couldn't Make This Up - Lafferty Out Injured

As Kris Boyd travelled south to complete his £3.75m transfer to Birmingham City, Lafferty - who was due to replace the outgoing striker in attack - left Murray Park with his knee in a brace after he was victim of a late challenge in a bounce match against Morton. He will undergo a scan to assess the extent of the damage but will definitely miss the Homecoming Scottish Cup third-round tie against St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park next week.

Depending on the severity of the injury, the 21-year-old could be absent from a minimum of two weeks to a maximum of six, depending on whether the ligament has been strained, torn or simply bruised.

Dont really want Lafferty upfront anyway tbh. WOuld rather Naismith, Novo or would maybe we should look at that prolific goalscorer down at Birmingham, Boyd I think his name is!!! :ffs:

weve not seen lafferty up front yet u never know we might get a pleasent suprise and he might bang all sorts of goals in, remember he has been playing out on the left which lets face a 6ft 4 out on the wing is never going to work so all am saying is give him a chance and see what happens.

He played up front for Burnley sometimes and he didn't exactly pull up any trees. Don't hold your breath.
