Looking at betting Villarreal: Asian handicap Villarreal 0.0, +0.5 @ 1.80 �£10 pays �£8 Or Handicap Villarreal +1 @ 8/15 Edit: �£10 pays 5.33 Why the difference? Surely essentially it's the same thing? Nope, not the same thing. With a 0.5 asian handicap there can only be a winner and loser (i.e. no draw). If I placed the handicap and the result was any draw or Villarreal win, the bet would win. What permeatations mean a win for the Asian handicap? IF I bet that and it's 0-0 do I still win? Being thick. Not being thick at all man. Asian handicapping sometimes seems wierd. If it were me I would take the 0.5 as it is better odds and, as you say, anything but a Celtic win means you win money and that being the case it matters little whether you have 0.5 or 1 of a handicap. Where it would matter is if it is "draw, no bet" as you could get a 1-0 Celtic win but because you have +1 you get your stake back. 0 Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I actually fancy Villarreal to win tonight, but with my recent record and Celtic's bloody home record this bet gives me a little leeway (sp) as I certainly don't see a Celtic win.
