ian1964 10,720
RANGERS' under-19s have beaten Dumbarton 3-1 at Ibrox Stadium to secure their place in the fifth round draw of the SFA Youth Cup. Gregg Wylde, RangersBilly Kirkwood's talented side, who are looking to win the tournament for the third consecutive season, saw off Highland League opponents Brora Rangers in the previous round and again proved too strong for The Sons. A quick fire double from Archie Campbell on 13 and 17 minutes gave the Light Blues a half-time advantage but Dumbarton left-back Alan Cook got one back for the visitor's after the hour mark to set-up a pulsating finish. Isa Bagci, however, bagged Rangers' crucial third goal with eight minutes to go and it was no more than they deserved at the end of this entertaining cup tie.
