Time for George Peat to resign?

Recommended Posts

George Peat, the SFA President, has not had an impressive record since his appointment and I, for one, have no confidence in the way he is performng his duties.

Artur Boruc made provocative gestures to the Rangers support, and George Peat felt that a paltry £500 fine was sufficient, despite Boruc's previous record of gestures.

Nacho Novo was rumoured to be interested in playing for Scotrland, but Peat stated that he did not want it, despite the Scotand manager saying he would consider it.

One Rangers player said he didn't wish to be considered for Scotland for personal reasons and another said he did not want to play under the current manager. Peat's response was to ask for the players to be banned sine die, despite him being happy that the current manager contibnues to pick david Weir after he was in a similar position.

Walter Smith raises the issue of refereeing incompetence (or worse) and rather than address the issue Peat claims it is to deflect deficiencies in Rangers.

Further incompetence is highlighted in his plans to waste money by expanding Hampden.

Surely the SFA would be improved if they could get someone who can handle these issues in a better manner and not show a bias against one particular club?

I'd be delighted if he was to GTF out of Scottish football. Stick him on the next bus to Northern Siberia. Whoever took over from him couldn't be much worse unless it was someone of the same ilk as John Reid.

TBF Hampdump needs to be expanded. I for one am for it. The Stadium looks awful and is a poor excuse for what it was.

All the rest he is guilty of ma' Lawd, take him down.!!

Yip agreed, Hampden needs sorted out. I quite like it but it should have been made to have a capacity of nearer 70,000. The north stand needs to be the same as the south and the stands behind the goals need to be brought closer to the pitch but made steeper and higher to get the atmosphere back.

Eh, aye. He's a tim so get him out. Simple as that. Let's not prevaricate around the shrubbery. BTW what's the point of expanding Hampden? 70,000 for our bi-annual clashes with shitey teams from the Eastern Bloc who we canny beat anyway????

A national stadium for a country who is football daft should have a higher capacity. Any OF cup final should have 70,000 there. Plus 50,000 for big Scotland matches similar to the recent matches with Italy and France wasnt good enough.

For other matches you just dont open top tiers so the atmosphere is still spread round the ground. If its smaller teams then they should be played at the renovanted Tynecastle with 26,000.

If Murrayfield can sell out 67000 then Hampden can.

The redevelopment of Hampden was a waste of money, and any further cash spent on it would be a further waste.

It has 2 better stdiums within 4 miles of it, and it's under-utilised.

We don't need a national stadium.
