Sorry if I took that too far Jon, just a bit annoyed by this all.

Attacking without even a small understanding of the circumstances.

Don't worry about it mate, seems we feel the same way.....I'd rather the facts than just the usual blame.

This whole thread smacks of consiparacy theories and nonsense.

Slagging Walter left right and centre whilst admitting you do not know why he's not getting a game.

Whilst I too admittedly have not been to reserve games, general consensus from fans who have attended reserve games is that he has been very poor so far and currently the likes of Loy and Fleck woudl be ahead of him.

And before people start on Smith saying if he's that bad and using it as another reason to attack the manager, there may be plenty of reasons for hsi lack of form.

One I know of is that he did not complete a proper pre-season and another may be the difficulties in adapting to another culture, climate and style of football, especially for a young boy abraod (and yes I am aware he went on loan to Greece).

Its not the first time though mate. Just need to mention Alan Gow!!

I'm sure if Gow got a regular game instead of Adam, the same people slagging Adam would now be berating Gow and clamouring for him to be dropped...

Adam showed far more promise than Gow...

Aaron is only 18 and players that age rarely get a game for a top team unless they are exceptional and show maturity in the game beyond their years. Those players, however, are usually worth upwards of 20M - we can't afford any of those.

Anyone expecting a freebie to be the new Fabrigas, Messie, Ronaldo or Rooney, is pretty optimistic.

You're clutching at straws. No one knows how Gow would've turned out if he played for the 1st team on a regular basis. No one on Gersnet knows what the stroy is/was with Gow.

As for Adam, when did he show promise? He's been gash since day 1! He can't pass or tackle to an acceptable standard and his shooting is dreadful!!

And added to Gav's post above, nobody expects a player of this level, we just want to see what the lad can do and hope that he is possibly a bit more gifted than Adam.

Sorry calscot but I have to agree with Gav.

What justification do you have that Adam has ever shown more promise than Gow ? Without justification your argument is nothing but supposition. Gow was a proven SPL player when he came to Rangers and it was widely accepted that Rangers were picking up a decent player. Charlie Adam has never been any better than that. IMO the best that could be said is that they had similar promise. Gow never got his chance but that doesnt mean he is a lesser player than Adam as we dont know why he never got his chance (though the management team were highly complimentary after his debut in LA....)

When we signed Gow, I remember howls of derision and cries of lack of ambition.

Whereas Adam was having a great season for St Mirren and people were genuinely enthused by him. It could be the fact he was only 19 (compared to Gow being what 24?) at the time - and you know how fans get excited by a promising teenager...

He has also kept the interest of 3 Rangers managers.

I personally don't think he's really making the grade but find the excessive criticism somewhat ironic.

Going from an being excited by a promising teenager to pulling your hair out at a play who, when given a chance is truly awful!

When he was at St Mirren on loan they were in the 1st Division. Maybe he found his level back then!
