No Room For Racism

Recommended Posts

There still is basic racism alive and well in the game today which doesn't need definition. Chants at a black man because of his colour is racist. For example, there were incidents in a recent Division 1 game.

Just because some parties try and deflect their own insecurities and claim racism where none exists doesn't mean that work should be abandoned on true racism.

We do need organisations such as SRTRC to be strong against pressure from the self-interest that you refer. Whether they can prove to be is another matter.

I wouldn't argue with a word of what you say but if there is such pointed dishonesty and inconsistency amongst our politicians, police and football authorities, how will real racism ever be rooted out. Those who should be doing so seem to spend most of their time pouring their own credibility down the toilet. You're right though - if they dealt with the scourge of real racism they would have less time to invent and pursue cases of pseudo-racism against the like of you and me.
