So all they've demonstrated is that they have a few brain cells. Saying that not reaching the last 16 won't affect finances, shows they don't have very many though. Of course it affects them financially, albeit in a hypothetical way. My finances are obviously affected by not winning the lottery as opposed to winning a million. However, I won't plan my budget to take into account the winning of a million quid that might not happen.
