Super_Ally 0
Do international results affect the club coefficiet? Never realised that! No. The country part of the co-efficient comes from the results of all the club sides in European competition. Have a look at Bert Kassies website, (should be easily googled) as I bet he explains it.

calscot 0
The UEFA coefficient is the 5 year accumulation of all the points gained by the teams in results in Europe divided by the the number of teams in Europe. 2 points are awarded for a win and 1 for a draw. This is halved for qualifying games. Bonus points are also award eg 3pts for qualification for the CL even if automatic and 1 point for getting the the last 16 and every round after that. Bonus points are also gained for getting the quarters onwards for the UEFA. So Rangers last year won three games and drew one in qualifying for the CL. That 3 points for the win, half a point for the draw and 3 points for qualfying for the CL. That's 6.5 pts. They then won 4 games, drew 6 and lost 5 giving 14 more points. As they got to a quarter, a semi and a final, that adds 3 more bonus points. So Rangers accrued 23.5pts which is then divided by 4 teams in Europe and added to Scotland's coeff. Which means we add 5.875pts to the coeff last year which is pretty good. This year we gained 0.5pts which means we added 0.125 pts to the coeff...
calscot 0
PS we're now in 12th place and if we drop one more place then the Champions don't go straight into the CL which could be bad for us if we win the league next season. The Champions are guaranteed to go straight in next season as they use the final table from the year before where we finished 10th. We also raised ourselves to a respectable 22nd seeds but will now drop like a stone to probably the mid 30's.
