Jon 0
Only just realised this was played earlier and read the report on SSN. Sounds like they were on fire with Deco impressing on his debut scoring in a 4-0 win. The pundits seem to have them favourites for the title as they have a stronger squad on the whole than Manu. Could be another cracking season.
pete 2,499
The movement of Chelsea off the ball was excellent. Rangers should watch and learn.
Whosthedado 1,675
Chelsea were excellent while Man U really struggled against the Magpies. Man U drew their first home game last year though also and still went on to win the Title
Jon 0
What time is MOTD on tonight folks, I forgot to set the dvd for it but have my dinner at 11 here
Gribz 842
Chelsea were very strong and they still have Essien and Drogba to get back in the team. It wasnt Fulham or Wigan they tore apart, it was Portsmouth who are a top 8 side. I just cant see anyone beating Chelsea this season. Man U could struggle without Ronaldo and Nani, those 2 can get goals out of nothing.
Jon 0
Whats up with Nani? I dont remember him getting injured. They will miss Ronaldo for sure and thats why I think Chelsea will pip it. Didnt see the game but Deco was supposed to have been excellent. If the Ballack injury isnt serious, they will just get stronger and stronger. No idea of the strongest starting 11 though
Gribz 842
Nani was suspended yesterday. I can see him being a much improved player this season. He was too much of a showboater before (same as Ronaldo 3/4 years ago), but Fergie will get him inline and he will be a great player. His pace is unbelieveable. I only watched the first half of this game and Deco played well but Ballack suffered a bit as he was moved out right.
Gribz 842
I have to give a mention to Aston Villa aswell, i was watching bits of there game and going forward they look as dangerous as anyone. They have Agbonlahor and Young on the wings with big Carew in the middle. Sitting behind that they have Petrov, Barry and ReoCoker. Carlos didnt play due to a calf strain so we obviously didnt fake his injury, but he and Laursen could be a good partnership.
Jon 0
Agreed again Gribz. I hate to say it but they could do really well this season. I was convinced it would be Spurs. Only 1 game in so who knows, apart from the top four. the next 4-6 places could really go anywhere
juffery 0
The wee bits I saw, Chelsea were looking well saucy. Deco will thrive by being the main man again after being a supporting player at Barcelona. Villa will do very well this season because, much as it sticks in my throat cos he's a wee dick, Martin O'Neill is an exceptionally good manager andf is getting together a very good team. I think Spurs will be excellent entertainment through the season, but will leak as many goals as they score. And did anyone see Artetas fre kick against Blackburn? Nice to see Paul Robinson off to a good, solid start!
