Beattie 0
RANGERS Football Club offers sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused to our fans at Ibrox last night. Unprecedented demand for tickets on matchday itself, via the hotline and website, resulted in huge numbers of supporters uplifting tickets at the stadium prior to kick-off. Consequently, standard Ticket Centre services were also affected, including ticket sales and the resolution of Smartcard issues. The Club fully accepts its responsibility to deliver efficient ticket sales distribution, but would appreciate if supporters requiring to uplift their tickets on matchday, could do so at least two hours prior to the match. Supporters who uplift within two hours of kick-off may encounter queues due to the high volume of tickets sold for every home game. The Club always endeavours to minimise inconvenience and provide an efficient uplift service for all home games, and will place specific focus on the imminent Liverpool match. Rangers Football Club appreciates the vast support it enjoys at all home games and once again regrets any inconvenience caused to fans. The highlighted paragraph basically sums it up that this apology is a load of bollocks. In plain English: 'We're sorry.. but it's your fault'.

Gribz 847
2 hours before kick off????!!!! What happens for people coming from a few hours drive away who get delayed in traffic or people who work until 5:30pm...etc etc
Frankie 8,552
A load of nonsense. If they want to sell tickets up until hours before the game as well as deny TV coverage then they should ensure they have the infrastructure in place to ensure said tickets can be picked up any time. The traffic getting to Ibrox is terrible for most games so to put a time limit on uplifts isn't a constructive answer.
maineflyer 0
To perpetrate a shambles like this and feel utterly unable to accept responsibility for it is entirely typical of the regime at Ibrox today. They should have a ticketing capability that meets the needs of fans, not the other way round. A dreadful state of affairs.
calscot 0
The complaints about tickets is never ending - it sounds like we need a complete overhaul of he ticketing system including a new, "real" ticket office. Someone needs to come in with a big dose of common sense instead of just dreaming up controversial schemes to make money out of the other SPL clubs.
maineflyer 0
The inability to organise an effient ticketing service, surely fundamental to any club's operations, casts enormous doubt on the basic business abilities of those running our club. That and their enthusiasm for the task. But perhaps all is revealed in the way they have dealt with those who the let down so badly.
