And we should have Football academies all over the world, surely they would pay for themselves after a while Setting up something like this takes forward thinking board members with long term ambition for the club - does that sound like something messers SDM and Suntan Bain would get involved in? pete 2,499 Posted July 31, 2008 Share Posted July 31, 2008 Everyone keeps on about the Ajax youth and scouting system but they were in fact placed as number 13 in Holland for their youth and scouting system. They did have it great in the 70's and 80's as they were the first club in Holland to go out of their own region to scout. That advantage has long gone and Herenveen, PSV,Groningen and even Sparta have raced past them in finding talent.
