juffery 0
I do believe I've been pointing out we need cover for the full back position for a while and everyone kept telling me we don't. One injury to one player and it's panic stations.

calscot 0
After Strasbourg and Gothenburg and others, I'll never advocate 3-5-2 again...
Gribz 988
The worst thing about WS's 3-5-2 was he played so many players out of position. Craig Moore and Alex Cleland in midfield :admin: But if you get it right then it can work out. MON got it right at Celtic. Cuellar, Weir and 1 from Webster, Hemdani, Papac or Dailly would be a good start at the back. We'd then get away with 2 holding midfielders, 2 wide players plus sign a creative central player. Then we also get to play 2 upfront.

Also ask yourself, why only one team - I think Austria - played 3-5-2 at the Euros.

Austria are not near as good team as others in the euros regardless what formation. But the 3-5-2 has been cancelled out with the 4-5-1 / 4-3-3 formations.
Gazza_8 233
You don't need to play 3 centre backs in the SPL as the opposition usually go with 1 striker. We're basically a man down.

I see it that you dont need 4 defenders in the SPL so going with 3 gives you an extra man further up the park. Just depends on if your full backs play as attackers aswell, but in some cases WS has played 4 centre halfs across the back and you dont need that.

We did have Hutton then Whittaker bombing up the right and once/if Stevie Smith returns to match fitness we'll have two good attacking full backs leaving the two CBs to tidy up any wee shitty attacks by the opposition.
