Jon 0
Midfielder criticises Wenger and 'selfish' Fabregas Alexander Hleb has blamed a difference of opinion with manager Arsene Wenger as his reason for wanting to leave Arsenal and has hit out at team-mate Cesc Fabregas. The midfielder is eager to secure a transfer to Barcelona as he looks set to join Mathieu Flamini, who has moved to Milan, in heading out of Emirates Stadium. Hleb is expected to report for pre-season training with the Gunners on Thursday but, with Wenger lining up a perfect replacement in the shape of Samir Nasri, the Belarus international's future appears to lie elsewhere. The 27-year-old says he spoke with Wenger last season on separate occasions about his desire to leave and now claims that he needs to move on following a fall-out with his boss. Upset "My view of football and Wenger's didn't coincide at all," Hleb said in the Daily Mirror. "I raised the subject of leaving with Wenger twice before the end of the season. "It's not easy for me to leave and I think he was upset about it. "But you should ask him. It may turn out that he's happy about it." Negotiations Hleb has also criticised midfield colleague Cesc Fabregas and has accused the Spaniard of being 'selfish'. "With scoring opportunities he (Fabregas) is more selfish than I am. Given the chance to shoot he always goes for it - unlike me," Hleb added. "I don't know where I will play next season. It's being negotiated with two clubs and will be decided soon. "I would prefer to move to Barcelona." Strange goings on and the move, when it happens wont suprise anyone. Interesting to see the comments re the Whinger. Suprised at him having a go at Fabregas though, I htought he was outstanding last season and would walk into any team in the EPL and further afield.
Gribz 919
Hleb is obviously being a cock and just trying to get his move away from the club. His view on football doesnt coincide with Wenger??? He must be 1 in 10 million then. Wenger has done wonders for Hleb's career and Wenger knows more about football than most. To have a bite at Fabregas is just bitter jealously and obviously just to aid his move. Hleb you
Jon 0
Hate to say it but I agree with most of that Gribz. Wenger is still a whinging cock though
Gazza_8 233
Give me Wenger and Fabregas over Pleb anyday. Useless Belarussian prick that he is!
craig 5,199
I agree Gribz - it is a blatant attempt to have a go at the manager and one of the most popular players - his way of engineering his moveby making his position at the club untenable (some would say similar to what PLG did with BF at the Gers....)

I'd say both cases you mention Craig are very different. BF didn't do what was asked of him on the park by his manager. Pleb just wants a move away from the club because he can't handle the physical aspect to the EPL.
Jon 0
So taking away his comments (an I agree its to get his move) none of you rate Hleb as a player?

Some said that PLG engineered his move by stripping BF of the captaincy and dropping him. That is what I was getting at - Hleb and PLG making their positions untenable to get themselves out of a club they dont want to be at !
craig 5,199
So taking away his comments (an I agree its to get his move) none of you rate Hleb as a player? Decent player but certainly replaceable.
juffery 0
So taking away his comments (an I agree its to get his move) none of you rate Hleb as a player? I think he'll do better in a league like Spain or Italy where he'll get a bit more time and space.
