Yeah, I couldnt believe I got 16/1 on him last year. I still think if he had been played in every game he would have beaten Ronaldo in terms of league goals, I 'think' he was only 5 behind on that front.

Side bet per cup, Ummm 20 or 25, up to you really. Its just a bit of fun really and will assist in the debates and wind ups ;)

Ok my man, lets make it 25 a cup and 50 for the league. You might need to take out a mortgage for all the winnings you will have to pay me (or you might do a Colshy and get yourself banned to prevent yourself from having to stump up) !

Emmanuel Adebayor has handed Arsenal a massive boost by declaring his intention to see out the remaining three years of his contract.

The Togo international has been the subject of fevered speculation all summer, with Milan having declared their interest in bringing him to Italy.

Arsenal have remained tight-lipped on the player's future but now Adebayor has come out to clarify his situation in North London.

Following the departure of Mathieu Flamini to Milan and Alexander Hleb's likely exit to either Internazionale or Barcelona, Adebayor's pledge of loyalty will be well received in the capital.

On Thursday, super agent Vincenzo Morabito stated that the forward was '80 per cent certain' of joining Milan but this prediction appears to be somewhat ill-founded.

"I have three more years with Arsenal, I have a good team there, I have a good contract.

"The most important thing is to keep enjoying myself. Of course (I am staying) I have three more years."

Thats the release on the Sky Sports website. I think Hleb will be a big loss, much moreso than Flamini.

Very suprised neither Barca or Madrid have been linked with Fabregas tbh

Jon you might aswell just send Craig the cash now!

Craig, shame on you - thats like taking candy from a baby!!! :admin: ;):D

Hleb was just coming good, but he is another who will realise leaving Arsenal is a mistake - Henry is regretting it to himself i bet!! But Nasri is a straight replacement for Hleb and Rosicky is coming back.

Silva can take over from Flamini and IMO is a better player! The experience he has is vital, so Silva next to Fabregas to start with. Walcott can now make the grade up and we will see more from him the same as the CL game at Anfield where he made that goal.

We'll just have to wait an see mate. Im hoping Rafa will have learned from last season that the rotation system he favours so much isnt always the best policy. That and a couple of signings, Downing would be a great start.

The rotation policy isnt as much as a problem as people make out, its the quality of Liverpool. The guys who come into the first team should still be good enough to beat the lower EPL teams, thats what Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenals 2nd string can do, but Liverpool make 4 changes and they will draw with the likes of Birmingham.

They need 3 world class players to assist Gerrard, Torres and Babel. Mascharano is a good anchor but id have Alonso ahead of him. I dont understand why they let Luis Garcia away last year - he was a cracking player

I agree they probably need 3 world class players to come in. It also depends on the formation they will play next season. The defence is pretty solid but think they could maybe do with another CB alongside Carragher, they do have a few youngsters there who could be fine though.

Downing, again, would be a great signing on the left.

It then remains to be seen if they will go 442 or with the lone striker.

Emmanuel Adebayor is ready to forget his promise to stay at Arsenal next season and push for a big-money move to AC Milan.

On Friday afternoon the Togo striker, who scored 30 times for the Gunners last season, pledged his future to the Barclays Premier League club, insisting: "I have three more years (on my) contract so no matter what I have to stay. I'm staying at Arsenal."

But just minutes afterwards, in a briefing with the written press in Vienna, Adebayor once again hinted strongly that he would demand a transfer to the San Siro in showdown talks with manager Arsene Wenger next week.

"I had a dream of playing for Arsenal, and Arsenal are one of the loveliest clubs in the world," he said.

"When I go back to Africa it is obvious that a lot of people love the club. But now I have a chance of playing with one of the biggest clubs in the world."

Adebayor added: "I haven't had a chance to speak to the manager yet. But we will sit down next week and decide what is good for my career.

"We will have to meet with the manager before anything can be decided. But, as you know better than anyone, a lot of teams want me to play for them.

"It will not be a difficult decision. I'm just going to sit down with my agent and with my family and decide what is good for my career."

Milan midfielder Clarence Seedorf believes Adebayor has already made up his mind.

He told Setanta Sports News: "When I spoke with him I said 'I'm waiting for you'. Let's see what will happen.

"He already said he would come, but it depends now on Arsenal.

"If he leaves Arsenal, it's a done deal. He comes to Milan."

Whatever the outcome, Adebayor insists money would never be a motivating factor if he were to move clubs.

Arsenal would stand to make a substantial profit if they were to sell the striker, and Adebayor himself would also expect to see his wages increase.

However, the former Monaco striker said: "When I was young I had a dream to be a good footballer and play for a big team.

"I was born in Togo so I never cared about playing for money, my happiness was to play to enjoy myself. That's what I've been doing until now.

"You can see people changing clubs because of money, because they want a change of atmosphere or to get their names in the big leagues. I just play football to enjoy myself. I play because I love it."

What was the point in the press conference if minutes afterwards he is coming out with this?
