craig 5,199
It's a bit of a shame really, the die hard fans will have nothing to do now on a Saturday ! Drink !! I think it'll be time for another Central belt team or Junior team to join the ranks as the Highland league has had four clubs submitted in the last ten or so years. Fair's fair. I woudl think a team from the South would be a good bet - it is semi-professional down there anyway and there would be enough fans to support a team I would think. I would love for a Junior team to get it..... if it were Auchinleck Talbot - but in fairness the best Junior team to get that from a stadium, funding and organisational perspective would likely be Pollok - but the last thing the Scottish leagues need is yet another Glasgow team
juffery 0
Annan have been talked about and they're down south aren't they?

From what I've seen in the papers it's a choice between Annan, Cove Rangers, Spartans and someone else who I really can't remember. Spartans seem best placed in terms of facilities - they're moving into an SFL-ready 3500 seater satdium in time for the new season, got a youth academy . I reckon they're favourites.

It needs to be a team with decent infrastructure from the get-go. So I would agree Re Spartans
juffery 0
It needs to be a team with decent infrastructure from the get-go. So I would agree Re Spartans Exactly - that was one of the main problems with Gretna. There was no structure at all, just a mad bloke with a chequebook. I thik the fourth team is Edinburgh based, but just can't remember their name at all. Senile dementia!!!
Gribz 919
Coming from Aberdeen Id obviously like to see Cove Rangers get in. If Dundee can have 2 teams then so could Aberdeen. Id love to see a rivalry there. But Cove are no way near big enough yet.
pete 2,499
The Spartans are a cert. Stadium almost in place. No contest.
Hurlock 0
The Spartans are a cert. Stadium almost in place. No contest. Spartans and Edinburgh City have done pretty well in the Scottish cup in the last two seasons. I think Edinburgh City is just about all student players though. What about Gala Fairydean? I know for sure Clachnicudden (Inverness' other team) have a really decent fan base but I think they've just become homeless due to not paying their rent for the stadium !?!?! There are a lot of old ICT and Ross County players in the side.
