juffery 0
Shockerooni Probably the worst kept secret in football, Sven has been punted by Man City. Mark Hughes is the favourite, with Blackburn having given permission for City to talk to him, but from what I was hearing on Talksport the City fans aren't impressed with a Red taking over.
Guest 90minsofmadness
Sven is a far better manager than Mark Hughes will ever be.
juffery 0
I think Hughes will go on and become an excellent manager. But I do think to say Sven was treated shabbily is putting it mildly. Really, what did Shinawatra expect? Nearly relegated last season, then top 10 this year, 2 wins against Utd and into Europe. What more could he have realistically done in one year?
Gribz 919
It will depend if Hughes is in the running to suceed Sir Awex. Man City would be a good chance test Hughes as he would have a bigger budget and with no dis-respect to Blackburn they are only ever going to be a club who can get 7th whilst Man City have the resources to potentially get into the top 5. Hughes is a good manager but it is slightly confusing to let a quality/proven manager go and replace him with someone who is no more than promising and one for the future. Sven has the better CV.

There's also been talk of him going to Chelsea in the future. City could be a good step, but with a potential loony owner, is it worth the irsk?

Jon 0
I thought he came out before or when he got the City job that he prefered the club football because he missed the day to day side of football. No doubt Mexico will be paying him very very well as he struck me more to being in it for the money.

No doubt Mexico will be paying him very very well as he struck me more to being in it for the money. Obviously he has been clever about this one aswell. He has obviously has pre-contract talk with Mexico before he was officially sacked, therefore he waited until he was sacked to receive the pay off from Man City as if he took the Mexico job a few days ago he wouldnt have got a penny. Rich, clever and greedy cunt
