Agreed certainly with the point made about Cousin having the enthusiasm and heart of Sebo. We would have some player on our hands.

I have it on good authority that the final fee is 1 million euros, which because the Euro is so strong just now makes that about �£800K.

 

I actually think we have sold him too cheaply. Before you all call for the nurse let me explain. We signed him for about �£1.5M if memory serves me and although looked a complete disaster in front of goal, he has achieved respectability with a mid-table French Ligue1 side who have probably over-achieved this season, and he has played his part in that success. That would say to me that he is still worth the price we paid for him, but we all jump on the fact that we did not rate him as an excuse to think that nobody else willr ate him either. The French league is superior to our own in terms of finance and exposure and I think we have jumped in too quickly to sell at a figure some feel is a steal, and so do I but not for us.
