alanmidd 0
Old Sepp is proposing a limit of 5 foreign players. Can't see how he'll get this past the civil rights laws and I think the big clubs will oppose it but it would be a good thing for International football http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/europe/7421348.stm
Wija 0
He is pushing it through, and I can't see how they can stop him... I mean the foreign brigade are stopping the home grown lads from getting a job/playing, so they can't use that as a basis for defending having more than 5 foreigners... just a thought!
Bluedell 5,861
It should fail again, due to EU employment law.
alanmidd 0
I agree. Can't see how he'll get it through
juffery 0
Blatter will find a way. I personally like the idea. I wouldn't like to go down the Arsenal route where the only Scot is a 19 year old who comes off the bench for 10 minutes. One of the reasons I've been so proud this season is that we have achieved a lot with a Scottish spine.

calscot 0
Tell that to Celtic where Scott Brown is in limbo. However, Scott MacDonald gets a game every week...

One of the reasons I've been so proud this season is that we have achieved a lot with a Scottish spine. Looks like it's unnecessary for Rangers; however, it could be detrimental to us as I think such a rule will only inflate transfer fees for the best home grown players, which are already pretty steep. Besides, anything that is detrimental to England's national team must be a good thing...

You swine, you beat me to it. I wanted to post that witticism!
juffery 0
Heard on the radio this morning that FIFA have passed this and it's proposed to come into place for the 2012 season. Still needs passed by UEFA and obviously European Law is pretty much up in arms. But what Sepp wants he usually gets.
