pete 2,499
Has earned himself another year contract with Feynoord. He was given his chance when Roy Makaay got injured and really played well. Well done Michael.
Wija 0
Great news. A very good player who never recovered from his injury at Ibrox. Good on him.

Jon 0
IMO he was never really given a chance after the injury. My only complaint with WS. He did the same with Durrant, who then went on to play til 33 I think. 2 of the best players I have ever seen wear our shirt IMO
craig 5,199
Good stuff Molsy!!! Mols Mols Michael Michael Mols........... I bet he is another former player wishing us to win tonight despite him liking Advocaat. He did an interview which was in one of the papers at the weekend - definitely supporting us. Says he has a ticket which Numan got for him but not sure that his schedule will allow him to be there - felt like trying to get his number and askign for his ticket !
craig 5,199
IMO he was never really given a chance after the injury. My only complaint with WS. He did the same with Durrant, who then went on to play til 33 I think. 2 of the best players I have ever seen wear our shirt IMO Agreed on both counts Re them being two of the best ever to wear our shirts. Durrant for me had everything pre-injury and I actually think he could have been better than Gazza, that is how highly I rated Durrant. Mols was an incredible finisher and his control of the ball was amazing. I remember being at THAT Motherwell game where he bagged 4 - he was shit hot that day - we had a Man U ST holder with us and he said we would struggle to keep him beyond the end of the season - sadly, he got his injury and the rest as they say is history. Not sure I agree with you though post-injury. Never felt either player was the same after their injuries. Durrant lost some of his explosiveness in getting beyond the strikers and Mols lost a bit of his mobility.

calscot 0
I think both Mols and Durrant had plenty of chances for Rangers post injury - and Rangers stuck by Durrant 100% through his operations and recovery. They both played for at least a year or two post recovery but neither was as good as he'd previously been and both started to look not quite good enough to get into the Rangers team. Durrant played a big part in the '92/93 season so, I can't see how he didn't get a chance.
