Chelsea v Liverpool CL 2nd leg

Recommended Posts

Unbelievable stuff!

Essien's goal should have been allowed so the penalty was justice.

Not sure about Hyppia's pen, Andy Gray thought it was but I thought he went over far too easy.

Taking Torres off is baffling unless he was injured.

Well done Frank, that must have been difficult!

What a final - Man Utd v Chelsea!!!

Missed the 1st half but the 2nd half and ET periods were fantastic! Drogba was interfering with play because he was stood about 2 yards in front of Reina therefore blocking his sight of the ball. I felt it was a definate penalty although when it was given I thought the ref had just given it becuase of the offside decision a few seconds earlier.

Why Torres got hauled off is beyond belief and I reckon that decision could cost him his job. Terrible decision by him!

I dont think it was offside as nobody was interferring with play. Nobody was ever getting in the way or stopping that shot therefore it should have stood.

But surely Drogba standing in front of Reina and blocking his view of the ball is interfering with play? We're not talking 12 yards out here Gribz, Drogba was about 2 or 3 yards from the goal line. I think Reina would've saved it if Drogba wasn't there. The shot wasn't right in the corner, far from it and Reina only dived once Drogba moved out the way/when he got a sight of the ball.

Its this stupid rule where sometimes it would be given and sometimes its not. Under old rules then 4 Chelsea players were offside but I agreed with Andy Gray that Drogba wasnt going for it and wasnt restricting the keeper and the ball was goal bound what ever.
