An annoying twat, but a very good manager. Maybe, maybe not. David O'Leary, not highly rated, took over after they'd finished 16th and immediately took them to 6th, before subsequenly slipping up again. Should've been in Europe but for the ridiculous decision to have Millwall in as Cup runners up. Of course the money helps, but how many people thought he was mad spending big bucks on Ashley Young? John Carew was a player meandering about going nowhere until O'Neill took over.
