Jon 0
Gerrard isn't anywhere near as effective on the right and thats something that should have been addressed a couple of seasons ago. Agreed re Torres, He plays, more often than not he will score goals, he's proved that. He also works his socks off from what I see and is an intelligent player. Gerrard in the middle, his favoured position, I'd play him every game possible too. It's a squad game, fair enough. I'm sure everyone would expect to miss a game now and then, but not to the extent Torres did. It took the FA cup defeat (an possibly the crowd noise) that made Benitez play a steady team, and look at the result.

There are games to rest players but against the better teams in the EPL is not that time. Torres will absolutely be a legend - an incredible striker for a guy so young.

He's the first player since King Robbie to hit 30 a season, even the 'godlike' Owen (i did not like him) couldn't do it. Also broke Liverpools record for scoring in 7 consecutive EPL games. I think what makes it special is that not only is it his first season but he was dropped for so many games.
