Along with the club's continued progress in Europe, this week's Champions League results and Aberdeen and Celtic's continental performances this term have also contributed. Kirk Broadfoot celebrates after Jean-Claude Darcheville scoresA combination of the three has allowed Scotland to stay 10th in UEFA's country rankings list for the second consecutive campaign. Whoever wins the league this term should also start next season's Champions League in the group phase, with the same incentive now definitely on offer for the following competition. The basis for UEFA's country rankings is the performance of each nation's club in European competitions over a five-year period, with points awarded for wins, draws and progression. The list is consequently used to determine how many clubs should enter continental tournaments and at what stage. Lex Gold, executive chairman of the SPL, said: "We wish Rangers continued success in the UEFA Cup.
