Hurlock 0
It's so embarrassing seeing all our players pull out of the squad yet none of the Celtic players have pulled out ??? I can see both sides of the argument here; fresh for the Old Firm match this weekend and we are still in Europe unlike Celtic meaning we will have more games to play than them now. However, should the Scotland match have been arranged so close to an Old Firm match ?? It's also a shame that playing for your country doesn't seem to matter any more.
mainstandbear 0
given our fixture run...i'm not surprised....maybe big mcculloch could have done with a run out...but i still think playing for your country matters, its just not great timing by the sfa for a friendly IMO
nokiss 0
It's an absolutely scandalous time of the season to having a friendly international anyway. :uzi: I'm pretty sure Dod Burley won't mind too much, given the congested fixture list that Rangers have.
Gribz 919
Agreed Nokiss - joke of a time to play a friendly when the club is going all fronts for so much this season. Im normally for international players playing for Scotland but not this time. Im glad they pulled out as the OF game is more important than an international friendly at this stage. The international season was finished in November and the clubs did the national team a favour then by cancelling some SPL games so now it should have been the SFA's turn to let the OF players out of this one for the game on Saturday. The game is only to give Croatia some practise for Euro 08 - who gives a munk about them when Rangers are going for the UEFA, SPL and SFA cup. Its about time the SFA thought about there own rather than other countries. Ferguson needs the rest anyway, he's playing too much and carrying an ankle injury and Dailly has a broken toe. Dont know about McCulloch, he could maybe have played and im not sure why McGregor pulled out but we need him for Saturday. Well done WS for pulling them out.
Hurlock 0
Apparently Scotland are wanting to play Northern Ireland in May too. Knowing our luck it'll be 3 days before the Scottish Cup final !

fraser54 0
You can't say that players don't want to play for Scotland. Ferguson, Dailly and McCulloch has served Scotland great over the last so many years. It's good to see the players pull out, don't want to risk any injury for a big game of the season coming on Saturday. Just imagine if they did play, Ferguson made his ankle in a worse condition and was out for the rest of the season, Dailly got injured. That's two of our midfield players. Same can happen with McGregor / McCulloch If Scott Brown, McManus, Hartley, Caldwell, whoever picks up an injury then the Celtic fans will go crazy
craig 5,199
They didnt pull out though, the Scotland medical team ruled them not fit enough to play, so it wasnt a Rangers decision. As well as helping Croatia Gribz I am pretty sure that the game will put money into the coffers of the SFA...... still wondering why they didnt cancel it ?!?!?!

That's not good news, some may not make Saturday's game then perhaps due to genuine injuries.
