alexscottislegend 2,409
Now look: this is a straightforward honest question. Yes, he's been inconsistent in the past, yes, he's had injuries - but he seems now to be fit. SO - WHY does Buffel not merit a start - ESPECIALLY since he'd fit beautifully into a 4-5-1? After all, he played that way at Feyenoord. And if he is on his way out - who should we go for to replace hime - give the midfield that bit of "continental class"?
Jon 0
I think we seem to be doing perfectly well without him. Buffel never made such an impact in how many years as Davis has in a handful of games...
Frankie 8,677
How about 12 games unbeaten for a reason?
pete 2,499
I think you do have to remember Buffel had his chance when Rangers were crap which he can't take the total blame for. If he is not going to get a chance then why did we not let him go in January. We might not have got much money for him but probably saved a 3\4 million in wages.
craig 5,199
How about 12 games unbeaten for a reason? 19 games is it not Frankie ? But still..... those are either 12 or 19 reasons why Buffel isnt starting. And valid reasons too.
Gribz 956
Everyone knows Im a huge fan of Buffel and think its madness he hasnt been played more, but at the moment we are winning games, and the recent ones have been in a lot better fashion. Thats mainly down to Steven Davis coming into the team. Id still be having Buffel on the bench and giving him a run but with Davis and Dailly doing so well I wouldnt start him. But Buffel does offer something different to every other midfielder we have.

Bluedell 5,716
Apparently if he plays a few more games we are liable to pay more cash for him, hence he is not getting played. He looked good when he came on as a sub, and probably warrented inclusion, but finance seems to be the main factor....as it was for Michael Ball.
ian1964 10,777
The thing is,we need the so called good players to turn up when we are not playing well, something that I don't think Buffel can offer,we are doing fine without him

Correct This has been said on here many times. I don't know why it keeps coming up. We will owe them money and we don't want to pay it. We couldn't get shot of him in January so we're stuck with him till the summer
