Another record broken today

And a new record of home defeats. But Clement had to go without a reasonable replacement. Look at us now 🙄

He did lose to Queens Park and made some of his own history in away games don't forget......

Agreed Cammy, but to take a huff and sack him without a replacement was dumb. No one can deny we are worse now than ever.

We're worse because of who we appointed. However, with hindsight, given the impending takeover, we were never going to appoint a permanent manager to replace Clement.

Doesn't mean Clement shouldn't have been sacked. Our away form was horrendous and we'd been knocked out the Scottish Cup by Queens Park. That result alone should have seen him sacked.

Just like under Beale, there were warning signs in pre-season of how bad this season was going to turn out.

We then drew our 1st league game away to a Hearts team that went months without a victory (at one point we were the only team not to score against them).

We then lost in the CL qualifiers and whilst we can point to Jefte's red card, if we are honest with ourselves, we never looked like qualifying.

Most fans chose to ignore the red flags and even when we got worse, most were still championing a manager who was clearly losing the plot and clearly unable to come up with a style of play to beat SPL teams.

In summary he should have been sacked long before he was but once again our board dithered and showed again, when it comes to football matters, they are out their depth.

I'm not sure that we are worse now. Either way Clement had to go as the atmosphere around the club was toxic, and whoever was being appointed was always going to be a holding role given the change in ownership and the forthcoming sporting director.

Not worse now?

you do realise we’re in negative goal difference since BF came in?

If that’s not a sign we’ve got worse I don’t know what is

Barry speaks well, apparently!!

That line is doing a lot of heavy lifting but I have yet to hear anything other than tired clichés delivered in a serious tone.

TBF he was always up against it and what is happening was more or less, inevitable. Years of being Omnishambles FC has its consequences.

What happens on the park in the coming weeks is largely irrelevant. The one thing that should happen is that any young players that merit it should be getting a meaningful amount of minutes.

Perhaps a forum member who is keen on stats can illustrate just how terrible we have been since BF took the helm. For me the difference on the park is stark.
