CammyF 9,291 Posted Monday at 18:41 Share Posted Monday at 18:41 Nothing, and I mean nothing, should surprise us when it comes to the incompetence of the current incumbents. Just another example of how far removed they are from the fan base.
Scott7 6,660 Posted Monday at 20:23 Share Posted Monday at 20:23 “Rangers Snub Ulster Charity Ride” - great headline. I’m assuming they asked if Rangers would accept the “charity visit”. I don’t think the Club had any option but to agree. I’m not aware of any advance publicity from Rangers and with the utmost respect to an honest servant and scorer of goals that Dessers can only dream about, it’s only Gordon Durie he gets his photo with, not any of the A List. Neat ploy by SF. Damage limitation by the Club. It’s not all win for SF though. I expect a good few of the Faithful Through and Through will be exercised by any connection to Ibrox.

Devil's advocaat 1,814 Posted yesterday at 06:41 Share Posted yesterday at 06:41 Good cause, board knew nothing about it going by that last image. Move on.

Popular Post JohnMc 3,164
The fact this isn't actually a story aside if an elected MP on a charity bike ride requests to stop at Ibrox to help raise publicity for it are Rangers expected to say 'no', we don't like the party you're in? I'm fully aware of who and what Maskey is, stands for and excuses, and I doubt there's many votes in a visit to Ibrox for him. Parts of the Shankhill and the Village are in his constituency, so while he literally doesn't represent most of those people he is their MP too. To criticise the club and the board for for allowing them to visit is unfair. Raising £25k for MND research isn't to be ignored either.

I think that's the point. Can you imagine the negative publicity that would have been generated by the Media had RFC refused? "Anyone, everyone." As it is, it's gone under the radar as Scott 7 suggests.
compo 7,848
A bigger balls up will be another player running down his contract and walking away who does the Rangers contracts I think we are complete amateurs when it comes to contracts.
