Whoever the manager is next season has his work cut out. We need two CB’s for starters and better quality in the wide areas up front, especially if we can’t keep Cerny.

I thought Fernandes and Nsiala may come in with a bit of quality. Fernandes looked like he wanted to get back to France ASAP yesterday. Im not sure what Propper was raging at other players for at the second goal, Im sure it was his man who scored.

I like Jefte further up the pitch on the left, he made an impact as well as the switch to a back 4.

Cortes doesnt fill me with much enthusiasm.

The huge changes Beale made is costing us, then Clement eventually got much of his own squad and we still need at least 4 first teamers and thats before thinking about Cerny, Hagi not being retained and Raskin not being sold.

All things considered I suppose a draw was the best we could have hoped for today after another first half red card.
It was horrendous to watch at times as we struggled to keep possession  and constantly gave the ball away.McCausland was totally unsuitable at RWB & deserved his red card.

I actually see a lot of Promise in the two young defenders from yesterday. Big Nsiala had a decent game and the lad Fernandes put an early marker on Gueye and kept him quite until he went off with Rangeritis. Propper just does not suit or crazy paced game.

The squad will be short in both numbers & quality for next season as things stand without major investment

Hagi, Cerny & Raskin leaving will all need quality replacements if they’re not here next season

Not sure about Fernandez. Don’t think he’ll be with us next season. Nsiala has come on leaps & bounds. Proper will probably go back to Holland in the summer

We have hardly seen anything of Fernandes just yet, yet, I doubt we will buying him from Lille, his contract there runs till 2028. We need to find someone who is willing to buy Pröpper, since we paid 3m for him last summer.

I don't think he is that bad a defender, but we either revolve our centre-halfs like there is no tomorrow, or hardly ever. How shall Pröpper, Fernandes, Nsiala, Sterling et al create a settled defensive partnership with Souttar or Balogun, if they are constantly shifted in and out. Probably also a problem of not having a B team to create a partnership 1, 2, and 3, who can come in as a "block". Similar to changing "blocks" in ice-hockey, i.e. defensive lines and attack lines. People know one another and can cope with situations. More often than not, we throw on make-shift combinations and end up with headless moments time and again, if these chaps come under pressure.

Having watched how people play, you wonder whether we can adopt this three at the back, but with someone like Sterling (if fit, but he played well there before) or Nsiala in front of them. That area is seriously lacking bodily strength and, Diomande apart, the vision to spot danger quickly enough AND react appropriately (like Lundstram, Davis, and Jack did in the past). Nsiala has the strength and pace to do this.

IMHO, our current best CH partnership is Balogun and Souttar. Neither are world beaters, but they click and compliment one another better than the rest. Put someone decent (see above) in front of them as extra cover, and we could breathe a little easier in most games.

He's great talker. Would love him to stay.

Agreed. And I loved his comments concerning twenty five first team players and no A & B team. Any manager wants to sub players on with at least the same level of quality, and that's not the case at Ibrox right now.
