What about sixteen teams gives you thirty games once completed first plays third second plays fourth then a grand final at Hampden to be champions

No. The league champion team is the team with the most points in the league competition not the team that finishes fourth and gets a couple of flukes.

If there were an end of season competition among the top four it would have to be called the Super Trophy or some other daft name with first against fourth and second against third then the final. Doesn’t appeal to me at all though I believe it may be quite popular in Rugby League. I don’t think they have as many games in their season as in the Premiership.

People say this often, but the reality is the TV money is pure sh*te. The Romanian and polish leagues have better TV deals. Pretty sure Denmark does too.

Please delete this before somebody copies and pastes the Romanian league structure.

That's true with most leagues so not restricted to Scotland

I think that’s right. A current exception is the Championship in England. Great competition this season, it’s only now that four clubs are beginning to pull away.

I suppose you could play it like a handicap race let’s say the team that’s finished I 11 th get  9 point start 10th get 8 right up to second who will start from scratch along with the champions you’d probably get the old firm in the top three but in what order
