No split but would keep promotion / relegation play offs (Bottom 2 relegated / top 2 promoted. Play off between 3rd bottom and 3rd top). I know nobody would vote for that, but we need to change the format.
Rousseau 11,566 Posted Sunday at 13:58 Share Posted Sunday at 13:58 There was a video posted on Reddit suggesting copying the Greek model, which sounded reasonable. I think it was a 14-team league with a split (6 and 8). This would expand the league but also ensure the 4 Old Firm games for the TV deal. I would also like more promotion and relegation spots.

I always thought the diddy teams wanted the 4 games because they could get 2 home games against us & them and sell out half their stadiums, but seeing as they don't want to do it any more lets just expand the league.

Playing the same teams 4 to 6 times a season is boring. I think a lot of football fans will have the same opinion. I'd also say that the current set-up doesn't encourage player development.

The extra teams added to the league will be beaten easily in many cases. If not then it will be because they play very defensively. I don't know why anybody would think a larger league would encourage player development. I don't even care to find out though. Nobody should ever structure a league to improve player development. Nobody buys a ticket to watch a player develop.
compo 7,827 Posted Sunday at 17:37 Author Share Posted Sunday at 17:37 What about sixteen teams gives you thirty games once completed first plays third second plays fourth then a grand final at Hampden to be champions
