Jesus wept I expected to read stuff about the game on here not all this stuff :D I'll miss the game tomorrow anyway - going to Portugal :D

This! Although once upon a time Id have been all over it 😄

Enjoy your trip mate - but who booked that with a OF game being on?!! You need a new Secretary. Although missing it may not be the worst thing, it could be another heavy defeat. However if you ever needed a past player to drill the players to at least show up then Barry Ferguson is one of them.

Having approx 2500 in the away end is a good thing, Im a traditionist and prefer away support in these games, the atmosphere is better ten fold and the games can be more competitive - and thats exactly what I want to see today - our players showing up and putting in a shift and competing. You cant blame the players and manager if we have a go and end up losing like the Scottish Cup Final when we deserved to win.

To see whether we go with a back 3 or 4 at the back will be intriguing, personally Id stick with a 3.

Can't get to worked up about this game. Already got the Bilbao quarter final at the front of my thoughts. Obviously, the players and management don't have that option.

Here is hoping we keep to the game plan, don't get spooked and can perform well. We need a positive start and mentally stay with it. The tiredness will kick in, if we let it.

@alexscottislegend @Uilleam

Briefly touching on protests against the slaughtering of at the very least, tens of thousands of women and children, the collective punishment and declared objectives of ethnic cleansing.

Putting yourself in a place where instead of protesting against such acts, you at least tacitly support them is something, IMO, beyond the pale and devoid of basic humanity.

If we treat this like an away European fixture I fancy we can do well. They have 2 outstanding players - Kuhn and Maeda - but for the rest I don't think there is that much difference between our sides. Saying that, I'll take a draw today - we've not had one for a while.

Playing against Kuhn and Maeda should be used to practice for the Williams brothers

I'd be more confident against Bilbao if Souttar and Dio were not suspended. I recall a great Rangers home victory when we beat Athletic Bilbao 4-1;  remember Orjan Persson scoring a belter, think the others were Colin Stein and W. Johnston. In 1969. We lost the first leg 2-0.

I think the 4-1 win was the first leg.

I think the first time we overcame a 2-0 first leg defeat was more recently, against USG.
