Frankie 8,844 Posted Wednesday at 15:07 Share Posted Wednesday at 15:07 🎙️ Barry Ferguson has arrived to speak to the media ahead of Thursday’s @EuropaLeague match against Fenerbahce. 🎙️ BF: It was a really good performance, but I still think there are areas we can improve. We have prepared in the right manner, there may be one or two tweaks. — Rangers Football Club (@RangersFC) March 12, 2025
Frankie 8,844 Posted Wednesday at 15:07 Author Share Posted Wednesday at 15:07 Worried about the fitness of Propper and one or two others apparently.
Gribz 1,158 Posted yesterday at 03:10 Share Posted yesterday at 03:10 The fact Fenerbahce have to come out and attack may be an advantage to hit on them on the counter so the team selection will be interesting to see if Barry pulls another trick out of the hat. The 3rd goal was massive in the first leg and deserved and thats what I think gets us through in the tie but we may still lose on the night by a goal.
lenny3k 767 Posted yesterday at 09:12 Share Posted yesterday at 09:12 We must make sure we don't concede an early goal and make it to half time with a clean sheet. If we concede early, I can see this Rangers team being beat comfortably by a Mourinho team.

buster. 5,473
A lot riding on this game. Kudos/Prestige / feel good Becoming normal for Rangers to still be in European tournament football in March. Must encourage potential buyers. Bragging rights We are behind our main rivals in most of today's metrics, both on and off field but whatever their bluster, they will be sick that we are still in Europe and they aren't. Especially, if we make the quarter finals. Financial The 2.5M for reaching the quarter finals added to another bumper Ibrox attendance should help enormously with any current cashflow issues. Co-efficient Scotland's numbers are not far from a place where the CL League phase becomes a lot more difficult to get to (tricky enough as it is). Co-eff points can be working materials for alchemy. Our individual co-efficient is in a very good place, joint 26th place of all European clubs. We could jump 2 or 3 places tonight. --------- Don't get Fenerbache. They came into the tie, 18 games unbeaten and looked poor last week. Their manager with all the hassle he has going on in Turkey is giving me the impression that he maybe working his ticket. Quietly confident that we will be in the quarter finals. _----------_ Funny old game Could Barry Ferguson become the first ever manager to best Mourinho in two consecutive games ? Ps. No idea if it has happened before. Edited 22 hours ago by buster.
Popular Post JohnMc 3,095
I'm not quietly confident, but then I rarely am. I don't think Mourinho is the manager he once was, since he left Man Utd I've never felt his heart was in it, it's been more performative than productive. Even his attempt at mind games yesterday felt like an after thought. That said if we lose an early goal, or two, and if the crowd get nervy and restless it could be a difficult evening for us. If the crowd stay behind the side, even if there are setbacks, we should be ok. This is a Rangers side that's mentally fragile, and a little physically fragile too, but with a rocking Ibrox behind them they are capable of achieving a great result. It's always worth remembering we're still in Europe in March, that's not something I'll ever take for granted.

I've just seen on Rangers TV that it does NOT include live video!
