I would envisage an energetic performance (bounce) giving us a more comfortable game than is customary in Kilmarnock.

Then we will give Motherwell a doing.

We will say Ferguson is the chosen one.

Special trumps Chosen, then a defeat at Parkheid.

Then it will be, ...told you Ferguson was a mistake.

Players, supporters and habits.

Part One: ✔️

Took a while but comfortable in the end. First time we have won a league game there by more than one goal, for 14 years.

Part Two coming soon: Scud Motherwell

We were noticeably narrower yesterday.

After half-time especially, I noticed Cerny was narrower, which made it look like we were shaping up in a 4-2-2-2.

It meant we could play through their press more, instead of getting forced out wide and from side-to-side, which just played into their hands.

Dessers was quite deep, too.

Our shotmap. We didn't create a lot compared to other games this season, but they were of good quality.

At least two of those big chances in the box are from Dessers.

If we are going to be playing a more transitional game, Bajrami would be better suited than Hagi.

Just saying...

Would be good to see Bajrami get a run of games in his natural position.

I have completely lost the ability to spot a foul. Last night there were several occaisions when Killie players had both arms wrapped around our players in their box, particularly Propper and Dessers. Then there is dragging our players back with one arm when they are making forward runs. This is something that I have been seeing all season long. I'm baffled . Was there a rule change at the start of the season that I missed ?

Apart from that, good come back last night and a great pass and goal from Ridvan and Dessers.

Watching the highlights there Propper was being held and impeded at the corner we scored our second from, the irony being the Killie defender and Propper blocked Dessers' marker giving him a free header. Karma.

I wasn't able to watch the match as I was working, only catching the last 15 minutes. I turned on my phone to read texts from my eldest and some friends that started off full of hope and anticipation, went to 'poor start' then to 'bloody hell this is awful' before transforming back into hopefulness and cries of 'Barry is going to turn Dessers into a star'. Really only football can provide that emotional response in less than 90 minutes.

I know Nisala was hooked early and everyone was saying he'd a poor game but I didn't think he was at fault for either of their goals. Propper fell/got clipped depending what angle you watch for the first and Raskin hung him out to dry with a short return pass at the second. Whatever, the change clearly had the desired affect.

Delighted we won, hopefully we'll not give the opposition a 2 goal start every game though.

Here's a stat that might surprise you. Rangers have the best form in the league currently. We've lost 1 game out of our last 6, Celtic have lost and drawn games, Hibs have drawn 2 in 6. Surprised me as well.

Nsiala and Propper were both shocking and both should have been off if we had the right players on the bench.

At times Raskin gets an easy ride , his passing is all over the place most games.
