der Berliner 3,990
On a wee sidenote ... every single one of the Saints' players looked up for it today and knew what they were doing. They needed points badly. Goalie and centre-halfs aside, only Hagi and Cerny looked to run themselves into the ground, Dessers got next to no balls and Igamane, much like Jefte, are a long way from the finished article. Raskin got bullied out of any wish to play early on and Diomande was exactly the bit-part player that in the end didn't do that much. The lack of cohesion oozes out of this side right now. It's like 7 or 8 strangers walk onto that pitch and try to work out what they are doing.

You imply Dessers got no service but when the ball is being put into the box he never seems to makes runs i.e. anticipate. He is static.

He should have been subbed.

He wasnt great today but who do we have on the bench who’d have replaced him?
Blue Moon 1,504
McAusland and I am not his greatest fan but he would have tried at least. Edited 10 hours ago by Blue Moon
RANGERRAB 3,984
To me there are 3 observations about this Rangers team:- 1) no settled CB pairing 2) kent/sima not replaced wide left( Hagi/ Bajrami both not natural wide left players) 3) strikers/CF’s too static when ball being delivered into penalty box. Need more movement upfront

Need more movement upfront I'd also add "no style of play" to that list. At yesterday's game I counted 3 corners where within 3 passes, the ball was back at Butlands feet. Also, Beale was ridiculed for the "horseshoe" passing. Over the last few months, that's all we've done. Ball goes from right to left via the CBs than from left to right via the CBs. Our players go through phases of being "good" then they revert to being woeful - this has to be down to coaching and fitness. Butland - MOTM last week, a liability this week. Tav - finished a season ago but been unable to replace him. Nsiala - see Butland. Has been good then absolutely bullied yesterday. Propper - either really good or really bad. Offered no protection to his young partner yesterday. Jefte - still young but questions over his defensive abilities and not contributing in an attacking sense. Raskin - see Butland. Diomande - see Butland Hagi - wasn't good enough pre-injury, not good enough now. Cerny - been best player this season and whilst wasn't good yesterday you thought if anything was going to happen it would be through him. Not our player. Igamane - bled into the team, took time to settle, played well but in last month looks like that little lost boy again. Dessers - Dessers is Dessers - if he's not scoring he's offering nothing. And as I type this, Clement is still in a job.

New levels of genius with each post! My argument is the longer the clown is allowed to stay the less chance we have of attracting a new decent manager. You keep on defending him dafty , theres plenty more like you thats one of the reasons we are in this mess. I understand that you may find it difficult to cope with the result but please be careful with name calling. The forum admin are incredibly strict. Apart from that I don't know why you think I'm defending him. I'm just pointing out that your plan is very silly. Also you need to let go of the fairy tale about the fans being in control. The manager will be changed when the board think it will improve our situation. When it happens it will have nothing to do with some sulking supporters.
