Off course, this is dependent on being successful, being well run, having the correct structure in place and having a working player trading model. 1. How long did it take Celtic to go from basket case, pass through biscuit tin before becoming what they are today? 2. How long do you think it will take us (if we ever get there) ?

The Bunnet bought ra Sellik for £10 million. He arrived with a five year plan, including redevelopment of ra Stade de Gadd. He organised three share issues to raise the necessary funds. At the end of the five years another share issue(preferential shares) was issued. This raised enough dosh for Fergus to walk away from Scottish football with £30-odd million in his hip pocket. Half way through David Murray's twenty year tenure, it was obvious Rangers needed a similar transition. We are still waiting.

If, as is being reported that the consortium will pay of the debt. We generate over £90M annually. If they can quickly sort out our structure and get a decent coach, winning a two horse race becomes 'doable'. Then we have access to the CL riches. They also mentioned capitalising on merchandise which is another easy and quick fix. If you haven't listened to the podcast I posted, I'd recommend that you do. In less than 30mins you'll get a very good insight into what to expect (if they mirror Leeds investment). The only long-term disadvantage is ground capacity and the increased revenue they have from that. Edited Thursday at 10:50 by CammyF

IIRC McCann was very clear in his message regarding what he wanted to do, how it was to be done and the timescale. (I presume it was DD who bought most of the preferential shares. He gets a decent dividend most years.) Let's see what any potential new majority shareholding group have to say. I could go through a series of questions and doubts but I'll wait until more detail comes from those who are reportedly negotiating with significant Rangers shareholders. The only way I think they make decent money is on a flip, on the back of league/competition restructure that increases our revenue very significantly. That would be about timing their run. The more Americans that get involved in European football, the more pressure towards such a change will be exerted.

BEARGER 1,853
I think a lot of fans are at the stage they would accept just about anybody to take over. Does anyone know how much they have invested in Leeds are more importantly how much if anything they have taken out?
