As ever, take with a pinch of salt as not hearing first hand. There are too many sources saying the Parks are the main dissenters in terms of everything wrong with our club at the moment, so I'd believe that. I just hope when this takeover goes through they are nowhere near the decision making.

It is absolutely key that a sporting director, new manager and a recruitment plan is in place ASAP. Time and time again we have been dreadfully unprepared for the Champions League qualifiers, this year a great example. These qualifiers will be here before we know it, if the new owners want to get a path to revenue they need to not repeat the mistakes of previous regimes. My fear is that with the whole takeover and need for new management structure (both manager, coaches and higher up the footballing structure as well as the executive side of things) the chances of being prepared for the early CL stages are very slim. We're possibly hoping for a very easy lead into it and a bit of luck to progress the early stages and have at least some semblance of structure in place for the actual group stages. I hope I'm wrong but I feel that it might be a writeoff season from a European perspective unless we get lucky.
Scott7 6,495 Posted Wednesday at 11:34 Share Posted Wednesday at 11:34 Lot of obstacles to be overcome. A squint at the books usually brings up a get out if you want it and if it’s true about Park, who wants to buy into a company that’s got a big dissenting holding?

We are at a stage where we can't operate without being given loans and are still posting losses. The board(s) are fully responsible for this, not matter their intentions. So fully responsible for not forcing us to sell half our squad, still being able to buy players like Igamane and reaching the last 16 in Europe. I know you only want to look at them as being the big bad and refuse to see any positives but things could be a hell of a lot worse if it wasn't for them.

compo 7,655 Posted Wednesday at 12:28 Share Posted Wednesday at 12:28 If it's the Parks what exactly do they want more money a seat on a new board let's be honest they haven't exactly presided over a club that's been thriving they're tenure has been downright abysmal.
ranger_syntax 4,672 Posted Wednesday at 13:08 Share Posted Wednesday at 13:08 The priority for the 49ers investment group will be profit above anything else. It will seek to extract a return on investment. This is a stark contrast to covering losses by various means. It is also far removed from Glasgow. If things go badly, on the pitch, then they will be far removed from any criticism. This is largely the case for the existing owners but it will be much worse with the next ones.

In fact, I said that they all should be remembered and thanked for saving us from the spivs just the other day. However, I hold them responsible for the mess we are in. If you think others are to blame, fine but as far as I can see, they have to take full responsibility.
