  • Frankie changed the title to [FT] Hearts 1 - 3 Rangers (McCart o.g. 20, 73; Cerny 61)

Not sure what to say. That might go down as our worst win ever if there is such a thing.

Second half was better than the first but it wasnt exactly difficult to play like the first 45 again.

I dont think the manager or players can hide, that result actually papers over a lot of cracks.

Still - a nice way to stick it up to Hearts though.

I haven't seen such a high risk strategy succeed since The Rumble in the Jungle.

Rope-a-dope, eh, whodda thunk it?

Clement, presumably, which is an even bigger surprise than it actually working.

Butland without doubt the best man in Blue out there ... well, Rangers colours.

Our team-play is as bad as it was against Queens Park. Bad and sloppy passing, shocking decision-making. Hearts are flying, formwise, and we toil along.

For some reason, Hearts always gave us a fight over the last decade ... let's hope the end result will be similar as before though.

... while writing this at HT, before my inner eye, I saw the final result as it is now. You somehow knew that Hearts wouldn't score, and that we'll grab a few more, somehow. More paper over the cracks, though.

NB: No, it is MY inner eye, it's mine, my treasure ... you won't get it. (Unless we share any instant bet profits!)

Very much a case of result over performance today. It's no fun being negative but our continued inability to do the simplest things remains a real concern. Obviously confidence affects that and we have to hope we've taken some from the win. We need a lot more, that's for sure.

FYI:

Lobsang Rampa was the pen name of Cyril Henry Hoskin (8 April 1910 – 25 January 1981), an author who wrote books with paranormal and occult themes. His best known work is The Third Eye, published in Britain in 1956.

Following the publication of the book, newspapers reported that Rampa had been born Cyril Henry Hoskin, and was a surgical fitter and plumber's son from Plympton in Devon who claimed that his body hosted the spirit of a Tibetan lama going by the name of Tuesday Lobsang Rampa, who is purported to have authored the books. The name Tuesday relates to a claim in The Third Eye that Tibetans are named after the day of the week on which they were born.
