Same reason we paid Goldson 38k a week over 4 years then decide to take a hit 2 years into his contract to get him off the wage bill. I'm not sure giving Baily Rice 45 minutes against QP in a cup defeat at Ibrox is the same as throwing Curtis and Rice into the mix at old Trafford.
