It will only get harder to find new talent in this country as kids football is dying on it's arse. All the local parks have less games played on them each year. Gribz 996 Posted Friday at 10:57 Share Posted Friday at 10:57 I never understood getting rid of reserve league like the 80s and 90s (and prior) - always thought that was more competitive as it mirrored to top flight league and drew crowds on occasion. It was good for players returning from injury. Wasnt there once a OF game at Parkhead postponed and about 25000 went over to Ibrox to see the reserves? Same with B internationals, always allowed fringe players caps. Could be why we are exploring this. Its ourselves and Celtic who are looking at the possibility but Glasgow City aren't. City are the most successful Scottish woman's team and currently top the league table. I think the EPL will do due diligence on this and request some sort of clause that doesnt allow the mens sides in. However if it did happen along with Cardiff, Swansea and Wrexham being in the Football League for a long time then it has to be worth pushing. However as Gribz said it would only be the Woman's team despite the Welsh lot being there for years.
