Agreed  -  so long as it’s understood that it’s just an exercise in venting anger and frustration.

And an attempt to enforce change. It may a forlorn hope but a legitimate form of protest that should be respected.

Those making statements and protesting don't need to offer solutions or alternatives.

When they were protesting against the Spivs, they had no alternatives or solutions, they just wanted them out (and were abused for doing so).

That they offer no solutions or alternatives doesn't and should deflect from.their legitimate protest and points.

As for not looking at us as Murrat did, they lied to us about Copland project and treat us like something they scraped off their shoes - seems rather Murray like to me.

This sums it up for me

90% plus of the support were anti-Ashley. Let's not rewrite history.

I'm rewriting nothing.

I posted someone's perspective of what's happening and I agree with them.

Green was applauded by the vast majority at Ibrox, outwith the UBs who booed him and took stick for it.

It's obvious you and others have no time for the UBs - thats fine but allow them their right to protest without insinuating they brought the violence directed at them on Sunday on themselves.

And allow and respect them to continue their protests no matter of we agree with them or not. Otherwise we are no better than the bullies who chased the David Murray protestors.

You agree that the UB were criticised by the support for protesting against Ashley? Are you saying that a majority of the support weren't anti-Ashley?

I accept that the UBs and others have the right to protest, just as those who disagreed with their approach yesterday have the right to show their displeasure at the walkout.

I've already said that anyone throwing stuff should be banned, and both sides of the argument should be allowed to continue without any physical intimidation.

I do have a lot of time for the UBs on the whole. Their displays are great and they bring much needed atmosphere to the ground. It doesn't mean that I can't criticise them for some stuff where it's deserved, disagree with their walkout or highlight why some fans have no time for them.

They don't need to offer solutions or alternatives, but when they seem intent in driving away the people who are financially supporting the club then it could reasonably be argued that they could potentially cause a lot more problems than a few poor away results are causing. The head in the sand approach of ignoring that is could be said to be irresponsible.

I believe most can understand why fans are protesting but it seems very unlikely that any potential new owners will be as Rangers-minded as the current ones and may not be as supportive financially then if they achieve what they seem to want (although I'm still unclear about that) then it's just going to be more damaging.

The difference between the protests against the spivs (and again most of the support were against them) and now is that we could see that the spivs were out for themselves, whereas the current board aren't. You point to the Copland issues and I'd point to the selling of part the Albion (which I'm still furious about) but overall I believe that they want the best for the club.

Nobody is denying the current board are Rangers minded or not out for themselves but that doesn't mean they are the correct people to take us forward.

It could be argued that continued gross negligence and mismanagement is harming us just as much as the spivs did. How many chances to get things right do they get / deserve.

Let's not forget the shareholders putting in their money to prop up the club were the people who got us into this mess in the first place.

They have a history of treating fans terribly - just look at the CL ticket pricing as another example.

If we hadn't won 55 Celtic would be going for / winning 14 in a row this season.

Standards have fallen and the current incumbents are to blame.

Where have I said otherwise?

Plenty of people have asked for and received a seat move, me included (when I joined TBO). I'm sure the BF4 section was identified for TBO and those wanting to join were moved there.

As for the 2nd paragraph, yes I am going there, as its the truth. You or me don't own our seat at Ibrox, we pay to use it season by season. I like my seat and I like the people around me but I understand that I don't own the seat.

It may only have been one of the reasons but ultimately those who were moved only have the club to blame.

Their reaction on Sunday was horrific - throwing objects including coins at fellow fans is a new low.

As for the UBs they do plenty of good, they do plenty of bad but getting blamed for seat moves and being attacked by fellow fans is despicable behaviour.

I remember when it was wine bottles you had to dodge and one Wednesday night game we were in the east terrace standing back then and being struck on the forehead with an unopened can on McEwans export and being taken under the stand for first aid the brother pocketed the evidence and drunk it in the car on the way home.

Also can we remember that Sundays protest wasn't a UB protest - many fans outwith the UB protested. Yet all ire appears to be directed at them.

Let's also remember that circa 15,000 chose not to attend yesterday for various reason. Protesting would be one of those reasons.
