Manager can keep making excuses all he wants but that was abysmal in every single way. We have no clue how to break down teams that deploy the low block. Quality of player is an issue but coaching should at least show what we're trying to achieve. There's simply nothing there.

 

I'd suggest Nedim Bajrami is perhaps the best example of our coaching deficit. The lad looked capable when he arrived but we have no idea how to use him and he's regressed so much under this manager. Few players have shown consistent improvement as opposed to flashes of form.

The only excuse is that he's playing an unfamiliar position, but you have to expect him to be able to do the basics.

Clement went full Pedro Caixinha tonight. Players looked like they had no idea where they were meant to be playing. As for a formation it reminded me of Jon Toral playing CB under the afore mentioned Portuguese man.
