The club, the board and the future

I'm starting to think you don't know what you want to happen - other than 'sack the board.'

Where have I ever said Sack The Board? Stopping making things up.

The people running the club need to step aside, get fresh investment and move the club forward.

How is that so hard to understand or how is it moonhowling?

What is happening now is exactly what needs to happen. Board take a step back, employ someone else to run the club and let them take full accountability. A financial reset in terms of the playing squad was also needed. We just need to suck it up and take the pain while we transition.

What is key to this is that the board actually do step back and don't get involved in the day to day running.

Under Parks reign we sleepwalked into a spiralling wage bill and scattergun recruitment. That works fine if you can outspend everyone else like we did in the 90's but its not the 90's.

We also need to accept that we are not a club who can hold on to players. If a bid comes in for someone who's been here for 2-3 years and its making us a good profit, or maybe in some cases getting our money back then we do it and move on to the next.

There are no Ally McCoist's and Richard Goughs that want to stay here for most of their playing days. They want to use it as a stepping stone after a couple of years then go play for a Fulham or Brentford.

We will likely be looking to move Raskin on in the summer if his form continues and contract runs down and that's exactly how it should be. It will likely be a modest fee but probably more than we paid. I expect many of the support will find this unpalatable but we need to get used to this as a fanbase.

Sanity and realism 👍🏼

Howling at the moon.

@CammyF

Oh I have more than a clue.

Stop the personal insults.

Now tell me how this board are going to fix the mess they have gotten us in to?

Can't be that hard for you to explain surely?

We are all frustrated Cammy but throwing unreasoned shite at the moon won't change things.

I want Scarlet Johansson and Penelope Cruz round for a threesome but I have yet to work out a way to make it happen.

What does this look like out of interest?

Again, that's for the board to decide. It's basically their job.

I could list 100 things but can't influence them.

Sell naming rights to stadium.

Sell naming rights to training complex.

Fresh sponsorship.

Better catering facilities at Ibrox.

Push for licensing for Ibrox pre-match.

Better use of NEH.

But again, it's not my job.

Again, what have I said that is throwing shite at the moon? Hanging on to a forlorn hope that this board will make everything better is throwing shite at the moon. Just look at their record.

Tell me how you expect them to change this? You can't, it's simply "hope" rather than expectation.

'Moonhowling' wasn't my word. I'm not unsympathetic to your position (the board have failed), but I'm unclear how you think we should progress.

'Sack the board' and 'step aside' seem to be the same thing, to me. Maybe not as harsh.

So, you want another lead shareholder to step forward to take control and replace the board. I'm sure we'd all like that, but is it realistic? Are we sure they're not already looking for investment? I'm not aware of any serious offers or interest. It's all a bit vague.

Getting behind the rebuild is more realistic, to me.

But it's not a rebuild, it's cost cutting. There is no plan after slashing wages. We are hemorrhaging money and have been doing so almost every year under their stewardship. It's a spiral they can't control.

Thats despite making circa £50M in transfers, getting to CL group stages, getting to EL Final, receiving record merchandise sales, highest ever season ticket sales.

How can backing THIS be better / more realistic than advocating change?
