With the current group of players I’d suggest his options are very limited

He signed the current group of players. He's obviously signed the wrong type to win away from home domestically.

In theory, it should be more difficult to win at home domestically and in Europe.

Well, well, well......

Here is the truth at last - no budget to improve the footballing part of the business as all "investment" going to rectify boards ongoing mismanagement.

Hopefully part of that £8M is to get rid of Clement.

The vast majority of the current group of players weren’t signed by PC

I’d guess we’re still paying the price of the board sacking GvB & replacing him with Beale who was given millions to overspend on average/mediocre players mostly with no resale value who we can’t get rid off.

That wasn’t Clement’s fault but just sack him anyway? Is that what you’re saying? And still await who you want to replace him with

Defence in last two games

Kelly - PC singing

Jefte -PC signing

Propper - PC signing

Sterling - Beale signing but played very few games under Beale (if any).

We need to stop making excuses for Clement.

Only 4 wins in out last 15 away league games and it's everybody else's fault other than the manager.

It wasn't Clements fault, it was the board's fault. Appointing Clement was also the board's fault.

We've only won 4 of our last 15 league away games .

When do we stop blaming the board, Beale, Gio, the players, the weather and focus on who is really to blame.

As for who replaces him, I could name 4 or 5 managers but what's the point? I have no say on who replaces him, if anyone does.

Go on. I'm interested.

Why? It's a pointless exercise.

But here are a few ;

I named one a few days / week ago (David Moyes) and there were a dozen reason given why it wouldn't happen. All it would cost is the price of a phone-call. I'm sure even under our financial restraints we can still afford phone calls.

Muscat out of contract but again, I'm sure posters will given another dozen reason why it won't happen.

You keep mentioning Potter, very highly unlikely to happen, but again, it would only cost a phone call.

Won't be popular but Russell Martin would be one I wouldn't rule out.

Three of those 4 know what the club means. All 4 know "British football" and will have extensive contacts.

I keep remembering what Graeme Souness said when questioned why he preferred Lampard over Clement - his contacts at Man City and Chelsea and his ability to tap into their academies for players.

It's all immaterial anyway, we're stuck with Clement (apparently) no matter how far we regress.

It's interesting.

Three of those names Koppen - or the DoF, if we ever appoint one - should have on a long list.

I mentioned keeping track of Martin when he was at MK Dons and Swansea.

Clearly that paragraph mentioning Moyes was a typo. :D

I understand where you're coming from, but I don't like that idea of contacts - recruitment should, IMO, be in the hands of the Director of Recruitment.
